Leather Ballet Shoes
A traditional Leather ballet shoe is suitable for class, performance and examinations. We use two different types of leather, both of which are durable and allow for long-wearing. Our standard ‘A’ grade leather is ideal for all floor surfaces and wears well as an introductory shoe, whereas our ‘AAA’ grade leather is a soft and premium grade leather that offers abrasive resistance for longer wearing. A leather ballet will soften and slightly stretch with wear, it is important to ensure a glove-like fit initially.
Our childrens ballet slippers are handmade in leather, canvas or satin and continue Bloch’s tradition of quality and innovation. A ballet shoe does not have a left and right foot, however, once worn the shoe will take on the shape of the foot. Childrens ballet flats are available in four width fittings: A, B, C, D (A being the narrowest fit and D being the widest).
All Bloch Childrens Ballet Flats have elastic supplied, with some pre-sewn. Read our guide for Sewing Elastic onto Ballet Flats or for further information read our FAQs.
